Clinical Information
- 24 year old male presented with a 10 day history of sudden onset cough, recent chest pain and fever.
- Patient history showed recent travel from West Africa and treatment for malaria.
- Initial investigations showed a mildly raised C-reactive protein, normal white cell count and positive Quantiferon gold test.
- Chest x-ray showed a large right pleural effusion.
