BAC Chair, Dr Anthony Maddox on behalf of the Executive:

"Allan Wilson has been a towering figure in British cytology for at least a generation and was the first chair of the BAC on its formation in 2011 following the merger of the BSCC and NAC. He is also the immediate past president of the IBMS. He remains a valued member of the BAC Executive and combines a shrewd strategic outlook with a very grounded "hands-on" approach. Allan richly deserves this honour."
