Call for Nominations: BAC Executive Committee 

The Executive Committee is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Association and operates in accordance with the aims and objectives set out in the BAC Constitution.

We are inviting nominations to fill eight available seats on the Executive Committee.

Eligibility

To stand for election, individuals must:

  • Be a current BAC member
  • Be nominated by another BAC member

Role Requirements

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong diplomacy and professionalism
  • A thorough understanding of BAC policy
  • The ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • A broad and balanced perspective on the profession

Time Commitment

Executive Committee members are expected to:

  • Attend a minimum of three committee meetings per year (held both in-person and via videoconference)
  • Actively participate in at least one sub-committee or working group, such as:
  • Education
  • Events planning including ASM and webinars
  • Media

Remuneration

This is a voluntary role. No payment is provided; however, reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

Election Process

  • If the number of nominations exceeds available positions, a vote will be held
  • All nominations are subject to approval at the AGM
