Biomarker testing on cytology samples survey

Biomarker testing is a critical component of modern cytopathology. However, the pre-analytical processing of cytology samples for such testing remains highly variable, with no established consensus or robust evidence on how different methods impact the results of immunocytochemistry and molecular analyses.

This UKNEQAS and Gen GA survey will collect information on cytology processing techniques currently used. And the information will guide the selection of procedures for inclusion in the pilot EQA.
