A look beyond the cells during EBUS

CLINICAL INFORMATION

  • 70 Year old male
  • Presented with shortness of breath, fatigue, and cough
  • Observations normal. Raised CRP (244mg/L)
  • PMHx: Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia – treated with ibrutinib, and treated prostate adenocarcinoma
  • CXR – pulmonary nodularity
  • CT Chest – RUL subpleural nodule and subcarinal lymphadenopathy
  • PET – Intense uptake in subcarinal node (yellow arrow) and 16mm RUL nodule (green arrow)
