The BAC is keen to assist its members and has developed a funding opportunity supporting research, development and audit in cytopathology. A discretionary fund will be available for the financial year 2015-2016. The intention is to allow the BAC to promote research activity within Cytopathology by providing some “pump-priming” type support to small, short term specific research studies, which are not otherwise funded, with a particular emphasis on producing direct clinical and social care impact.19 August 2015

Over the Spring/early Summer of 2012 the BAC undertook its first survey, about cytology practices in general. The summary results of this are available to members - log in to view. The survey will be the first of many, and will help the BAC to better understand cytology as it is practiced today, and help the BAC to represent and advance cytology as a discipline. A brief summary of this survey was discussed at the BAC ASM held in September 2012 at Keele.28 October 2012
The talks and abstracts from the recent succesful BAC ASM are now available as a BAC member to view. The talks are being added as I type - not all talks are able to be uploaded due to speaker requests, but the available ones are being uploaded. Also available are some pictures to remind us of the very successful meeting - if you have any you would like to share to other BAC members then please email them to us at the usual BAC email address. Just log into the member's only area using your BAC number and your email address.
